Getting Along in the Coop

Sometimes I open the back door of the coop to let the little chickies out.  They hop outside for a bit and eat some of the broilers feed.  The two groups will be eating in harmony until one of the big chickens bites the little ones.  A broiler will start chasing them but only runs 2 ft. and stands there out of breath. Then they'll be fine again as I do the chores around the coop.  When I'm done I chase them back in.

This afternoon the chickens stretched,

took a bath,

and then fell asleep.

"Oh, Henny! There's nothing in there."

Grandma is going to butcher her broiler first to see if she can still pull the skin off.  I told her, "Grandma, I'll pull the skin off.  She responded, "Well..."  That ended the topic.
I'll just wait and see what happens.
